Tips to Help Your Team Thrive
As leaders, we want our people to succeed in our industry and in life. Here are a few best practices we’ve learned through our Black Card Management coaching process that can help us inspire our teams to deliver outstanding results:
• Focus on One or Two Things: Jack of all trades, master of none is a saying that many of us have heard, but few realize the significance in our multitask-driven world. Rather than trying to do a million little things simultaneously in our Black Card Management office, we encourage working to complete one task at a time. It will get done faster than trying to do 10 things at once.
• Ask Yourself “Is It Necessary?”: Streamlining processes and eliminating non-critical tasks should be the mission on which we should all embark to create a productive work environment. With a project or a daily routine, one way to accomplish this practice is to analyze each step we take during the course of our day. Often there are steps that are redundant along the way and can be foregone.
• Trust Things Will Work Out: We want our people at Black Card Management to know that failure is not the end of the world. In fact, what does set us back is not taking risks or accepting challenges. We need them to trust that it’s OK to make mistakes, as sometimes they lead to better options.
