Black Card Management on Preparing for an Interview
We at Black Card Management have been fortunate enough to find excellent careers that match with our professional goals. However, we know that many people are still looking for the right fit. If that sounds familiar, you are likely going to interviews regularly. If you want to make sure that you nail your job search, you’ll need to prepare for each interview with the following materials.
Keep in mind that not every location will have excellent cell phone coverage. Make sure to print out a hard copy of the directions to the interview site. Getting lost on the way will not only make you look bad, it will also be extremely stressful.
Bring multiple copies of your résumé, printed on a good quality paper. At Black Card Management, we always ask candidates for copies to review during their interviews. Make sure to have extra copies just in case there are more people in the meeting than you expect. Additionally, extra copies will help when you have interviews at multiple companies (should you forget to print more between them).
Have something to record notes from the interview, such as a notepad and pen. Not only will this help you to remember the details of the discussion, it will demonstrate your seriousness and professionalism. You can also record questions that you would like to ask during the interview.
Remember these materials the next time you attend an interview in order to make it run as smoothly as possible. We at Black Card Management strongly suggest that you spend a little time preparing in order to increase your chances of getting an offer.
